Looking for a ratty?
If you are seeking beautiful, healthy, well bred and well handled rat pups please contact "The 28th Rat" rattery NSW http://www.freewebs.com/28thrat/index.htm and/or "Rampaging Rodents" NSW http://www.freewebs.com/rampagingrodents/index.htm
also I recommend contacting AusRFS (Australian Rat Fancier's Society) in your state to find a breeder near you AusRFS VIC http://ausrfs.org.au/index2.html AusRFS NSW For other states, I recommend that you ask at AusRFS NSW/VIC anyway, as they may know a breeder in your state who they refer you to.

A little note on cage mates and introductions Responsible breeders do not sell single rats unless you have a friend waiting for them. Rats are social creatures and need friends of their own kind.
Females usually can be introduced at any age and will get along just fine.
Males should be introduced before 6 months old (sexual maturity) If the rat is older, it may be difficult. Sometimes an older male who has been well socialised will accept a younger male, with no problems. My own adult males have no problems meeting and accepting new rats. They live in a large colony of 10-12 at any one time. They accept new friends because they are well socialised.
If you are considering a friend for your rat but are not sure how it may get along with your existing ones, please feel free to contact me to discuss.
You can reach me at kissing_rats@hotmail.com
